CArnival confusion...

With much anticipated Carnival around the corner, locals and tourists alike are gearing up for the 4 day bonanza. Authorities say that the response for carnival has been overwhelming. The head of the municipality has released the itinerary of activities for Margao carnival celebrations. Meanwhile the carnival committee expressed their grievances with the head of the municipality.

There appears to be an ongoing tiff between the head of Margao’s municipality and Margao Carnival committee, as several disputes have recently come light. The Chief went so far as to cut off one day from Carnival dates. According to the committee, local traditional artists should be given motivation and priority.

The Margao Carnival Committee unveiled the logo of this year Carnival as well as the Carnival Audio Song for the year. The Chief explained the list of activities adding that there is a good variety of events across all the days.
